  2. ;AREAS.BBS List - The format of this file is simple. In the first line,
  3. ;list your BBS ad..must be less than 65 chars.  Then an ! and your name.

  5. PUT YOUR BBS AD HERE ! PUT YOUR NAME HERE

  7. ;These lines tell what DOS directories you have created to receive mail
  8. ;and what the AREA of the message is called.   You can name the DOS
  9. ;directories anything you want up to 8 letters, but the AREA column MUST 
  10. ;match EXACTLY with the conference name in the ECHOLIST.  The number 
  11. ;under the NODE 1 column is YOUR HOST (Where YOU get mail).  If you send 
  12. ;these echos to anyone else, you simply put their net/node number in the
  13. ;list under Node 2, etc. Do NOT sned to anyone else unless you discuss it
  14. ;with your HOST as you may pass along a series of DUPLICATE messages.
  15. ;
  16. ;NOTE: BAD_MSGS does not have an entry in NODE 1 as these are for your
  17. ;personal use and you would not be transmitting any messages in this
  18. ;area back to your HOST. BAD_MSGS are for messages that are transmitted
  19. ;incorrectly and ConfMail can't determine which directory to put them in OR
  20. ;a new area has been passed to you that is not in your areas.bbs file or a
  21. ;DOS subdirectory has not been created.  Check your BAD_MSGS every couple of
  22. ;days to make sure things are operating correctly.
